Meet your Athletic Trainer:
Crystal joins Riverdale Ridge High School as the Head Athletic Trainer. From Arizona originally, she moved to Colorado in December of 2011 in pursuit of her education. In 2015 she graduated from University of Northern Colorado with her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. Crystal went on to receive her Masters of Science in Education from University of Wyoming, where she was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive team. As well as helped out with all the athletic teams at the university including some club sports such as rugby and lacrosse. Since returning to Colorado, she has worked with many different sports including, jiu-jitsue, taekwondo, ice hockey, cheerleading, rugby, and soccer.
Medicine has always been a part of Crystals life, growing up with nurses and doctors in her family, she knew that it would one day be her path. Learning about sports medicine in high school sparked a passion for both medicine and athletics and pointed her towards Athletic Training.
Crystal and her husband reside in Westminster where they enjoy hockey, hiking, and snowboarding together.
She is very excited to join The Nest and looking forward to working with all the student athletes at Riverdale Ridge.

What is Athletic Training?
Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic Training is recognized by the American medical Association (AMA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as an allied health care profession.
